"Best Food -not just italian food, but food in general- I tasted in months. with every bite I could feel the brilliance and skill of the chefs… excellent food!! almost teared up"
"Atmosphere was super comfortable and cozy, no doubts about it. But probably not ideal when patrons starts coming in on peak hours, apart from that the place is pretty small, but they have around 10 tables in total. Service is also fabulous, staff are all very friendly and helpful. Food wise, I wasn't at my best condition when I ate the food but when I taste my main, the truffle carbonara sauce on my gnocchi isn't as strong as I thought It should be. The truffle taste is too light to a point It feels like a normal carbonara base pasta in my opinion, It wasn't cheap either. Apart from that we ordered salted egg pasta, which I also felt the taste will light too. We ordered crab meat pizza too, It was pretty nice, but the pizza bread is quite tough and bland along the side of the pizza, the area without fillings. We also order mushroom soup, It was palatable but not as creamy and umami as I expected from the ones I drink before. The galic bread is also pretty light taste, it might be suitable for those that prefer light taste, I prefer It to be more salty and galic-kly. And lastly to finish off, we had a truffle fries, they don't use truffle oil but instead they make a sauce that is similar to mushroom soup but is more stachy and adds abit of truffle oil to it. Overall is worth visiting but probably for their signature pasta, maybe aglio olio. Would go again to try their other pasta options. Cheers"
"Had a buffet lunch at Aglios yesterdat. The buffet isn’t actually part of their regular menu, but since we were having a company lunch, Aglios prepared a special buffet menu for us. The food was amazing especially the brownies and the pizza! Highly recommend everyone to try this place!"
"The interior of Aglios is cosy and comfortable with the tables decorated with red checkered table cloths giving a very warm Christmas vibe. The food is presented nicely and tasted great. The service was very kind and professional. Overall, I would recommend Aglios for a Halal friendly Italian meal."
"theres nothing we can say other than a very delicious meal with affordable price. the sauces are so rich in flavour. our first time trying risotto and could say it lived up to out expectation, the crab meat is not from crabstick (luckily) the pesto is nice too as it is a bit on the creamier side. love the tiramisu! the sweetness isnt powering and i believe they mixed the mascarpone with espresso as well? (not complaining as i love it) bold and smooth coffee beans! prompt and friendly services were given by the staffs ^^ we were surprised to come in to no other customers given the taste of the meal, maybe the way the cafe is strategically located place? will come again to try others, and pizza definitely!"
"Have an amazing Salsiccia Italiana Pizza at Aglios! Their mushroom soup is a standout, very creamy and packed with tender mushroom bits, so delicious! The service is nice as well. Overall have a good experience at Aglios"
"13Feb26 - searched "Valentine's Day meal near me" on Google maps since it was Valentine's Day eve and we were looking for a place to dine. This was one of the non-sponsored places that came up and the reviews looked good, so we came. The first floor was small and cosy, with sitting enough for 20 pax. I like that they didn't play the music loudly and it ws at a good low volume to allow easy conversation, yet you can still make out the words easily. The mains came piping hot, and there was a strong "truffle fragrance" from the fried Gnocchi in truffle cream sauce. The texture of the dumplings were good - slightly crisp on the outside and just right chewy. Sauce is rich and flavourful. Risotto in squid ink sauce was comforting and had umami though was very slightly too salty. Crab pizza was surprisingly not too sweet (even though with a tomato sauce base), which I really appreciate. The first bite made me think of sardines, but it was shredded crab meat. Pizza is satisfying, although we generally prefer thin crispy crust pizza. Their tiramisu is surprisingly tasty even without alcohol. Easily one of the best I've had. Their complimentary burnt cheesecake is done well too. It came with this review which I am more than happy to do and which is unbiased. The single toilet at the basement is clean and well equipped with toilet paper, bidet, liquid wash (though too dluted) and a strong flush. This made our dining experience even more pleasant, knowing their staff use a hygienic toilet. There was seating available for another 20 pax downstairs. Ordered and spent: RM121.38 @ Aglios Bandar Johor Bahru (Risotto Nero Di Sepia (Italian Arborio rice cooked with squid rings in squid ink sauce) RM22.90+5% svc charge, Fried Gnocchi with Truffle Cream Sauce (potato dumpling pasta with smoked duck bacon in truffle cream sauce) RM46.90+, Granchio E Pepe (pizza topped with crab meat, tomato cream sauce and mozzarella cheese) RM28.90+, Aglios Tiramisu RM16.90+). Free with review: Aglios Burnt Cheesecake (UP: RM14.90+)."
"All the food was great, especially the mushroom soup, definitely a must try! We ordered the chicken sausage pizza, prawn aglio olio and carbonara, and everything was good. The place is cozy and very clean. The service was excellent, we were served by a nice lady during our dinner tonight!"
